2017 Post Season Round Up: Midwests, US Nationals, Canadian Nationals

Midwests

Skyline took on 50 of the best teams from the Midwest Region (7 States) and placed second as a team overall (women 2nd and men 3rd). This was a program best finish, the team’s work ethic and culture this year has hit new level it has definitely paid off. Our Eagles brought home 8 Midwests Championship titles, 5 silvers and 3 bronzes as part of this record breaking weekend. Qualifying 8 boats for Nationals, which will be held in Camden, NJ over Memorial Day Weekend.

US Nationals

Crew traveled to Camden, NJ to take on the best the country has to offer.

Skyline made a program record number of boats to finals (top 6 in the nation). All eight boats that qualified, made it to finals. This is demonstrating more program depth than previous years and the team could not be happier. Highlights include or Mens JV quad and Mens Varsity double both taking bronzes. All the crew fought hard and excited to make our final trip to Canadian Nationals next week.

Canadian Nationals

Skyline made their final trip to St. Catharines, Ontario for Canadian Nationals. A young team with high hopes to make history, did not disappoint. The team made 7 finals (top 6 in the nation) compared to the team’s previous best mark of 5. With the Junior Women’s Quad and Senior Women’s Lighweight four making the podium, both with bronzes. This capped off an amazing year for the program, showing the largest amount of depth the program has ever seen.
